The most in-demand specialists
The most popular categories among recruiters are art/animation, programming/development, game design/level design, QA/testing, producing/management, community management and customer support.
This makes the Polish market very different from the markets of Ukraine and the CIS, where the most popular specialists category are developers, especially Unity developers.
In Poland, the most needed specialists in game development are C++ developers. Next, come 3D artists and manual QA engineers.
Apparently, Polish recruiters rarely indicate the level of a specialist unless there is a need to emphasize this (for example, juniors and seniors are indicated more often than middles). The n/a category on the chart generally corresponds to the middle category.
Geography of hiring
The leading cities in terms of the number of open vacancies in the gaming industry are Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Katowice and Gdansk.
